My passion is fueled by working with clients to understand how the web can truly benefit their business. With 20 years plus experience in the IT industry it has given me a strong foundation for being able to effectively understand our clients’ business requirements and translate these requirements into a world class online solution that will provide a return on investment and an ongoing asset for their business.
Here at Labyrinth, we are lucky enough to be pioneering the shift in Website Design where the power and control is moving from the developer to the designer for the delivery of high-end functional websites. Working with Contegro, New Zealand’s leading website content management system, we have empowered our designers and our support team to implement large, creative, functionally-rich websites without being bound by the technical aspects of the website delivery. This not only enables us to respond quickly to our clients’ needs but it also enables our clients too easily and efficiently manage their own website changes, providing greater control and hassle-free website management.

Having a business coaching background I've always been highly interested in business growth; precisely the approach Labyrinth take with their clients. Our aim is always to ensure clients get an excellent return on their investment, and that we contribute directly to their business growth. I'm confident that any solutions we propose for will achieve not only their immediate goals, but long term ones too. The fact that we provide quality solutions that get results, means that I deal with happy and satisfied clients and tend to work long term with them, as they evolve their strategies to meet the ever changing environment. One of the more challenging, but also enjoyable parts of my role is writing articles, both for our own Blog, and for various marketing and business related magazines. I am now a regular contributor to NZ Business magazine.

I’m a designer that is practical and classic. My underlying principle has always been “Form Follows Function” – initially associated to modern Architecture and industrial design of the 20th century – simply put: a shape should be based on its intended purpose. When I design, I apply the same principle when addressing all aspects of website creation to achieve great results for our clients. The industry is fantastic, challenging and forever-growing – for which I’m thankful and passionate about. When I first joined Labyrinth Solutions, I had a lot of customer service experience but very little to none with website design/development or CMS. The moment I started using Contegro, I felt like a website guru and I was amazed by what I could achieve and create online. It wasn’t long before I carried the title ‘Product Specialist’ with confidence!
The team at Labyrinth Solutions have nurtured and supported me over the years and I now conduct product training sessions for Contegro clients and partners, oversee the deployment of add-on features and manage product support documentation and online tutorials. My initial ‘inexperience’ with CMS has helped me to relate well to everyone who is fortunate enough to have a website managed by or partnered with Contegro. As Contegro evolves, we all grow too.

If I were to describe in one sentence why I get up every morning to go to work, it’s the fact that I like to chase…Three main aspects of what I do involves chasing:
Time – I always find myself chasing time, there never seems to be enough of it during the week because almost every task was due yesterday. The clock just keeps ticking and I just keep chasing…
Design – I feel the chase of creating the perfect design is just around the corner, unbeknown for the grab, yet I find it unattainable because there is no such thing as the “perfect” design. I just keep chasing…
Website integration – I find that every website design I integrate involves its own set of problems to solve and coming up with the best solutions while deadlines are looming keeps me on my toes. I just keep chasing…
But using the CMS Contegro, helps to speed things up. I guess I can say that Contegro is the electrolyte or the Red Bull of website design and integration… it gives your website concept wings.

I’m a front end developer, which means that my job is to make sure that the websites I work on look and function at a world class level. This means knowing the strengths and weaknesses and how to get the most out of brand new browsers, older browsers, mobile devices and tablets. Working with Contegro means that I don’t need to worry about the back end complications and can get on with making the designer’s work shine.

My role here at Labyrinth is Content Administrator / Website Support. My previous roles included being a website administrator and TVNZ graphics operator. I love to work with cutting-edge technology, I enjoy photography and am passionate about all things web related. So it’s not surprising I have a genuine interest in Labyrinth Solutions – and their customers.
