Open the Contegro start menu and select Administration > Global Module Settings.

Contegro Start > Administration > Global Module Settings

Click Blog Categories.

Open blog global settings

Update global module settings and click [OK].

Name

Use this field to set the default name entered in the Blog Comment form on the live site (optional).

Email

Use this field to enter the default email address entered in the Blog Comment form on the live site.

Comment Email Template

Use this field to manage the blog notification email body that is sent to subscribers when a new comment is posted.

 

Note: The variables below can also be included email template.  Variables are case sensitive and must be entered exactly as shown:

[TOPIC_SUMMARY]
[TOPIC_URL]
[COMMENT]
[UNSUBSCRIBE_URL]
 
Example Template:

Topic Email Template

Use this field to manage the blog topic notification email body that is sent to subscribers when a new topic is posted.

Pending Notification Text

Use this field to add a custom 'pending' message to the blog comments form  (on the live site). This message is displayed when blog comments are sent to an approval queue.

 

Note: Blog comments can be set as pending in the Blog Comments List module or automatically sent to the approval queue if the post contains one or more words in the Word Filter.

Enable Word Filtering

Toggle tickbox to activate/deactivate the word filter in the Blog Comments List and Blog Topic List modules.

Thumbnail

Use this field to set the default width and height for the thumbnail image displayed in the Blog Comment List module.

 

Note: This setting can be changed at page and/or template level.

Image Upload On Editor

Blog Global Settings > Image Upload on Editor

Optimise Image

Toggle tickbox to enable/disable image optimisation when images are posted via the Blog Comments form.

 

Note: If enabled, the width/height settings below will be applied to selected images in the Blog Comments Editor.

Width

Use this field to set the maximum thumbnail width (in pixels) for all images posted via the Blog Comments Editor.  The image size will be used to optimise images if the Optimise Image tickbox above is enabled.

 

Note: If the width is greater  than the supported maximum width the image will be resized (ratio is locked) to the maximum size allowed.

Height

Use this field to set the maximum thumbnail height (in pixels) for all images posted via the Blog Comments Editor.  The image size will be used to optimise images if the Optimise Image tickbox above is enabled.

 

Note: If the height is greater  than the supported maximum width the image will be resized (ratio is locked) to the maximum size allowed.

Resolution (dpi)

Use this field to set the image resolution for all images posted via the Blog Comments Editor.

Quality

Use this field to set the image quality as High, Medium or Low.  If the 'Optimise Image' tickbox above is enabled, this setting will be applied to all images in the Blog Comments Editor.

Type

Use this field to set the image file types allowed  for upload via the Blog Comments Editor. Use commas to separate file types (e.g. gif,jpeg,jpg,png).

 

Note: Do not include a period (.) before the file extension.

Size (KB)

Use this field to set the maximum image upload size for files posted via the Blog Comments Editor.

 

Tip: 1024KB = 1MB

Document Upload On Editor

Type

Use this field to set the document file types allowed for files posted via the Blog Comments Editor. Use commas to separate file types (e.g. doc,xls,pdf).

 

Note: Do not include a period (.) before the file extension.

Use this field to set the maximum document upload size for files posted via the Blog Comments Editor.

Facebook Comments Plugin

Facebook App ID

Use this field to set the Facebook App ID for your website.  This ID allows you to add Facebook Comments on your blog.
 

Tip: Go to https://developers.facebook.com/apps and follow the instructions on creating an app for your site.  Refer to the Blog Setup Guide for more information.

Facebook Administrator ID

In order to moderate comments posted via the Facebook Comments plugin, you need to link one or more Facebook accounts to your website. Simply enter the numeric Facebook ID of approved moderators in this field. To add multiple moderators, use commas with no space.

 
Approved moderators can then login to Facebook (via the Facebook Comments plugin) and moderate comments as required.

 

Tip: To find your Facebook ID, visit www.findmyfacebookid.com and enter your Facebook profile URL (which can be found by logging in to Facebook, clicking on your name in the top right corner and copying the URL).

Select the page where you want the canonical URLs (for SEO purposes) to be generated

RSS Feeds

Include Image in Description

Enables the images to be included in the RSS feed

Include Categories as Class Names in Description

Enables the blog categories to be used in the RSS feed.

Note: This is mainly used for designing the slides in the Digital Signage Module

Include Keywords as Class Names in Description

Enables the keywords to be used in the RSS feed.

Note: This is mainly used for designing the slides in the Digital Signage Module

 

3.Click [OK].
