Digital Signage - Information Bar Portal Setup

New / Edit info bar item


Create a 'Digital Signage' member group and associate one or more accounts with the new group.
Add one account per client who is authorised to edit the info bar content.

Create a login and portal page for the 'Information Bar' module >

Create an info bar for one or more locations.

Add responsive header code to the general site settings.


Step 1 - Portal Access (Setup Member Group & Account)

1.Add a member group for digital signage users.


Note: When the info bar portal is setup, set the portal login page as the login redirect.


2.Create one or more member accounts, add the member to the 'Digital Signage' group and [Save].

Note: The default Digital Signage group should not include access to the 'Settings' tab.


Step 2 - Setup info bar portal

1.Add a Login page in the Editor and:

i.Add a Login Form module and change the 'Status when logged in' setting to Logout Button.

ii.Click Publish.

Click Save or Publish

2.Add an Information Bar page in the Editor and:

i.Add a Digital Signage Information Bar module to the primary content area on the page and update the settings as required

ii.Add a Login Button module to the primary content area on the page.

iii.Click Publish.

3.To set member permissions on the Information Bar page:
Right click on the page in the site tree, select Permissions, move the 'Digital Signage' member group from Available to Selected and click [Save].

Step 3 - Create an information bar

1.Add an information bar for the new screen (location) and assign the new member/s (user/s).

Step 4 - Add header code

1.Add following header code to the general site settings:
