Key

The status of pages, menus and 301 Redirects can be identified by the icon that appears adjacent to the label in the site tree.  The key within the site tree panel explains the status and/or state of an item in the site tree.

Page

Visible Page icon

 

 

The Page icon indicates that the item in the site tree is a page with an active status.  If no workflow icons are visible on the right hand side of the page label, the page is published on the live site.

 

Tip: If the label text alongside this icon has a dark font colour, this indicates that the page label is visible on the live site.  If the label text alongside this icon has a light coloured label, this indicates that the page label is not visible in the main site navigation.  See attributes.

Menu

Visible Menu icon

 

 

The Menu icon indicates that the item in the site tree is a menu item with an active status.  If no workflow icons are visible on the right hand side of the menu label, the menu is published on the live site.

 

Tip: If the label text alongside this icon has a dark font colour, this indicates that the page label is visible on the live site.  If the label text alongside this icon has a light coloured label, this indicates that the page label is not visible in the main site navigation.

301 Redirect

301 Redirect icon

The 301 Redirect icon indicates that the item in the site tree is a 301 Redirect.

 

A 301 Redirect can be used to:

1.Tell web browsers and search engines that a page or menu has been moved to a new location

2.Shorten long URLs or,

3.Create user friendly URLs

 

Tip: To find out where this item redirects links, position your mouse pointer over the item in the site tree. Right click and select View URL in the right-click menu.

Inactive

Inactive Page icon  Inactive Menu icon

The Inactive icon indicates that the item in the site tree is currently inactive.  Inactive items are either unpublished or withdrawn.

Secure

The Secure icon indicates that the item in the site tree is using SSL security.

 

Note: Before being able to make use of the "Secure Page" function in the menu or page attributes, a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) security certificate is required on the server. SSL provides authentication between client and server applications by the use of encryption technology. It is designed to prevent eavesdropping, tampering, and message forgery

Permissions

The Permissions icon indicates that the item in the site tree has set member access and/or administrator editing permissions.

Saved

Saved icon

The Saved icon indicates that the item currently has saved edits.  The item will remain in a saved state until it is submitted for approval, published or the edits are reverted.

 

Note: You can only save or submit page edits if you are the originator of the revision

Locked

Locked icon

The Locked icon indicates that another site administrator has saved changes to the page or menu.  The item will remain in a locked state until the changes are submitted for approval, published or the edits are reverted.

Submitted

Submitted icon

The Submitted icon indicates that the item has been submitted for approval.  The Submitted icon relates to Contegro's workflow process.

 

Note: You can only save or submit page edits if you are the originator of the revision

Rejected

Rejected icon

The Rejected icon indicates that changes (or edits) to the submitted item have been rejected.  The Rejected icon relates to Contegro's workflow process.

Withdrawn

Withdrawn icon

The Withdrawn icon indicates that the item has been removed from the live site.  A withdrawn item is inactive and is only visible in the site tree.

Approved

Approved icon

The Approved icon indicates that the changes in a submitted item have been approved.  The Approval icon relates to Contegro's workflow process.
