Manage Shopping Cart module settings

Shopping Cart modules are used to setup the checkout process. This section is based on the Shopping Cart pages have been setup as per the Setup Guide.

 

Follow the steps below to manage shopping cart modules in the Editor:

 

1.Open the page where the Shopping Bag, Cart, Billing Details, Delivery Details, Shipping, Gift Options, Wizard, Payment Options or Confirmation module resides.

 

2.Open the module settings Module Settings button at page level, update as required and click [OK].

 

3.When all editing changes are complete, click [Save] to save changes or [Publish] to update the live site.

Button_SavePublish

Key Info: Step 3 refers to the one person workflow scenario.  If your site uses the two person or three person workflow scenario, the Publish button will not be displayed until submitted changes have been approved.  Refer to Workflow Scenarios for more information.

 

Shopping Bag

The Shopping Bag module displays a summary of the current order.  This module can be added to multiple webpages; allowing online customers to keep track of the items they have selected for purchase.

Key Info: Do not place this module on the same page as the Payment Gateway module.

Field

Description

Title

Use this field to add a custom title to the Shopping Bag (e.g. Your Items, Your Order, Shopping Bag, etc).

 

Tip: To set a default title to the Shopping Bag, see: Manage Global Settings.

Summary

Use this field to add a summary to the Shopping Bag (e.g. The following items have been added to your order:).

Module Behaviour

Use this field to set the Shopping Bag behaviour when the 'Buy Now' button in the Product List and/or Product Details module is selected.

 

Slide Down - Choose this option to enable the slide down effect. When an item is added, the bag will open in a sliding motion, display the order summary  and then close.

Slide Down on Hover - Choose this option to enable the slide down effect on hover. The bag will open in a sliding motion when customers hover over the Shopping Bag (until the mouse is moved).  The bag will also slide down when an item is added to the bag (for the number of seconds set in the Shopping Bag global settings).

Fixed - Choose this option to keep the shopping bag open at all times.  When an item is added, the order summary will be updated and permanently visible until the order is completed.

 

Note: If a buy now target page is set in the Product Details global settings, customers are redirected to the page where the Shopping Cart module resides when they click 'Buy Now' in the  Product List and/or Product Details modules.

Items to Display

Use this field to select the image, product and/or gift information to show/hide in the Shopping Bag.

Show Link Text

Use this field to add a custom text link for the slide down effect (see Module Behaviour above).  When the link is selected, the Shopping Bag will open in a sliding motion.

 

Tip: To set a default  text link to the Shopping Bag, see: Shopping Bag global settings.

Hide Link Text

Use this field to add a custom text link for the slide down effect (see Module Behaviour above).  When the link is selected, the Shopping Bag will close in a sliding motion.

Show Checkout Link

Toggle tickbox to show/hide the 'Checkout' link in the Shopping Bag.  The link redirects customers to the Shopping Cart target page set below.

Checkout Link Text

Use this field to set the 'checkout' link text when the Show Checkout Link tickbox above is enabled.

Target Page

Use this field to select the page where the Shopping Cart module resides. This target page is used when the checkout link above is selected in the Shopping Bag.

 

Tip: To set a default target page which is applied to all new instances of the Shopping Bag, see: Manage Global Settings.

Delivery Details Target Page

Use this field to select the page where the Shopping Cart Delivery Details module resides.  This target page is used when the Shopping Bag <Edit> link below the customers delivery details is selected.

Thumbnail Display

Max Size (pixels)

Use this field to set the maximum item thumbnail width and height in pixels.


Shopping Cart Checkout Process

This module displays the checkout steps set in the Shopping Cart Checkout Process global settings.

Title

Use this field to add a title above the checkout steps, e.g. Checkout Process.

Shopping Cart

The Shopping Cart module displays a summary of the current order.

Title

Use this field to add a title above the order summary, e.g. Online Store, Checkout, Shopping Cart, Your Order, etc.

Summary

Use this field to add a custom summary above the order summary.

Items to Display

Use this field to show/hide image, product and/or common pricing, tax and delivery details in the Shopping Cart.


Shopping Cart Wizard

The Shopping Cart Wizard module is placed on each page within the Shopping Cart Checkout process.  The module displays a Back and/or Next button which online customers can use to move back and forth between steps in the cart.

Next Button

This dropdown is preset to Next.  Use the field below to set the target for the Next button.

Next Target Page

Click on the dotted button to select the next page in the shopping cart checkout process.

Previous Button

Use this field to select whether the 'Continue Shopping' or 'Previous' button is displayed on the live site.  Use the field below to set the target.

Previous Target Page

Click on the dotted button to select the previous page in the shopping cart checkout process.


Shopping Cart Promotions

The Shopping Cart Promotions module displays an input field where customers can use a promotion or voucher code to qualify for a discount.

Field

Description

Custom Title

Use this field to add a custom title above the code input field on the live site.

Summary

Use this field to add a summary above the code input field on the live site.

Promotion Code

Use this field to limit the codes that can be entered in this field.  If a promotion code is entered in this field, the promotion code or voucher codes associated to the promotion will be accepted.  Leave blank to allow any code to be entered in this field.

Target Page

Use this field to set a target page once the code is submitted. If no target page is set, the customer will remain on the same page when the code is submitted.

 

Tip: To remove a selected page, click the dotted [...] button and select the top level page in the site tree.

Success Message

Use this field to set the success message which replaces the input field on the live site if the code is accepted.  You can use [PROMOTION_NAME] variable in the message to show the promotion name associated to the code entered.

Invalid Message

Use this field to set a fail message which is displayed below the input field on the live site if the code is not accepted.

Promotion Code Label

Use this field to set the label above the input field.  This label is used if the Promotion Code field above is blank.

Voucher Code Label

Use this field to set the label above the input field.  This label is used if a code is entered in the Promotion Code field above.


Shopping Cart Billing Details

The Shopping Cart Billing Details module displays a billing form on the live site.  This form can be used to capture the purchasers contact details and postal address, etc.

Note: The Billing Details form is replaced with the "You are currently logged into the Contegro Admin Console.  To continue, please Logout" message if you are viewing the live site and logged into the Contegro admin console in the same browser session.

Field

Description

Title

Use this field to add a title to the Billing Details form.

Member Group

Use this field to select the member group that all new customers are added to when they complete the Billing Details form.

 

Key Info: This field is displayed if the order process type is set to 'Member Sign-up Ordering' in the Shopping Cart global settings.

Default Country

Use this field to select the default country selected in the Country dropdown field.

Items to Display

Use this to select which billing form fields are displayed on the live site. To show/hide fields, click on the [...] dotted button, toggle tickboxes to show/hide fields and click [OK] to close the window and apply changes.
 

Display (Required) - Toggle the 'Display' tickbox to show/hide form fields.  Make sure to check the 'Region' and 'Country' tickboxes as this information is used to calculate shipping and taxes.

Required - Toggle the 'Required' tickbox to set fields as required.

 

Tip: Use the Member Fields manager to add custom fields to the Billing Details form.

Note: If the Order Process Type is updated to 'One Off Ordering' in the Shopping Cart global settings, the Password tickbox is disabled.

Login Form Settings

These settings below are displayed/used in the Login Form modal window.

 

The login form is automatically displayed when site users enters an email address (in the Billing Details form) which is associated to an existing member account.

 

This modal window provides online customers with a way of logging in if they haven't done so already.

 

Shopping Cart Billing Details > Login Form

Custom Title

Use this field to add a custom title to the Login Form modal box, e.g. Existing Login, Existing Member Login, etc.

Summary Text

Use this field to add summary text to the Login Form modal box, e.g. The email address you entered is associated to an existing member account.

Email Address Label

Use this field to set the Email Address field label, e.g. Login ID, Username, Email Address, etc. Members use this field to enter the email address or login ID associated with their member account.

 

Tip: The Invalid Account Login Message field within the Login Form global module settings can be used to customise the message displayed when members attempt to log-in using an inactive or deleted member account.

Password Label

Use this field to set the Password field label. Members use this field to enter the password associated with their member account.

Remember Me Label

Use this field to set the 'Remember Me' tickbox field label.

 

Note: The 'Remember Me' function is disabled if the user clears their browser settings, their Login ID and/or Password is updated or the [Logout] button is selected.

Return To Login Link

Use this field to set the text  for the 'Return to Login' link displayed on the 'Forgotten Password' page. Members can use the text link to return to the login form.

Forgotten Password Link

Use this field to set the text for the 'Forgotten Password' link  displayed below the login form.

 

Note: The Forgotten Password Link Text entered in this field will only be displayed on the live site if the 'Show Forgotten Password Link' tickbox is enabled (see below).

Show Forgotten Password

Toggle tickbox to show/hide the Forgotten Password link (see above).

Show Remember Me

Toggle tickbox to show/hide the Remember Me tickbox field (see also: Remember Me label above).

Auto Focus on Email Address

Toggle tickbox to select/deselect auto focus on the Email Address field when the Login Form is loaded on the live site.

Shopping Cart Payment Options

The Shopping Cart Payment Options module displays the available payment methods.  The payment methods displayed will depend on the country/region that the customer selects the Shopping Cart Billing Details form.

Title

Use this field to add a title above the payment options on the live site.

Summary

Use this field to add a summary above the payment options on the live site.

Image

Use this field to add an image alongside the payment options.  For example if you have an online credit payment option, you can select an image displaying the card types accepted by the payment gateway.

(tickbox)

Toggle tickbox to set whether a single payment option is displayed on the live site.  For example if cash is the only payment option and the tickbox is enabled, no options will be displayed on the live site.


Shopping Cart Shipping

The Shopping Cart Shipping module displays a list of shipping options for the customer to choose from.  The shipping (or freight) displayed on the live site relate to the country and/or region selected in the Delivery Details module.

Title

Use this field to add a title above the shipping options on the live site, e.g. Freight, Shipping, etc.

Summary

Use this field to add a summary above the payment options on the live site.

Only Display on page if multiple shipping options are available

Toggle tickbox to set whether a single shipping option is displayed on the live site.  For example if one shipping option is avaiable for the selected country and/or region and the tickbox is enabled, no options will be displayed on the live site.


Shopping Cart Gift Option

The Shopping Cart Gift Options module displays a list of gift options for the customer to choose from.

Title

Use this field to add a title above the gift options.

Summary

Use this field to add a summary above the gift options.

Message Introduction Text

Use this field to add a custom label or description above the 'Message' input field. Customers can use this field to add a message to their order (if sending as a gift).


Shopping Cart Confirmation

The Shopping Cart Confirmation module displays the order receipt/invoice which can be printed out if required.  A copy of the receipt is also sent via email.

Title

Use this field to add a title to the order receipt/invoice.

Summary

Use this field to add a summary to the order receipt/invoice.

 

Note: Use the following variable to display the customers full name in the order summary - e.g. Thank you [FULL_NAME], your order has been confirmed.

Footer

Use this field to add a custom message/description/summary to the footer (below the order summary).

Customer Details Title

Use this field to set the title above the customers billing and delivery details.

Order Details Title

Use this field to set the title above the order summary.

Items to Display

Use this field to select the details which will be displayed in the order summary.  To show/hide order details, click on the [...] dotted button, toggle tickboxes to show/hide fields and click [OK] to close the window and apply changes.

 

Note: The product and image details are managed in the Image Gallery andProduct Catalogue managers.

Target Page

Use this field to set a target page for the [Continue] button displayed below the order details.  If no target page is set, the button will not show on the page.

 

Tip: To remove the target page setting, click the dotted [...] button and select the top node in the site tree.

Confirmation email

Recipient

Enter one or more comma or semi colon delimited email addresses to set order confirmation email recipients. A copy of the order details will be sent to each recipient in this field.

Sender Email Address

Use this field to set the email address displayed in the Sender field in the confimation email.

Subject

Enter the email address you want to show in the ‘From:’ (or sender) field within the order confirmation email sent to the customer.  Enter one address only.

Email Message

Use this field to add a message to the order confirmation email.  The message will be displayed in the body above the order details.
