Insert Code Snippet

In Contegro a snippet is a portion of HTML code that has been specifically written to offer re-usable and pre-formatted information to use throughout your website. Having a library of snippets for content managers provides additional re-usable options without having to re-write the HTML multiple times. The Insert Code Snippet dropdown list is conveniently located in the Content and Custom Code modules.

This section explains the task of insert code snippets in a Content module:

1.Open the page you wish to edit.

2.Click [Edit Content].

Tip: To add, move/reorder, delete and manage module publish settings - see Manage Modules.

3.Click [Insert Code Snippet] and select an existing snippet from the dropdown.

4.Click [Save] to save changes or [Publish] to update the live site.

Key Info: Step 4 refers to the one person workflow scenario.  If your site uses the two person or three person workflow scenario, the Publish button will not be displayed until submitted changes have been approved.  Refer to Workflow Scenarios for more information.
